Spodumene
Handmade in France from sterling silver.
Spodumene gets its name from the Greek spodios: "ash-colored", a name that refers to those found before the 1970s. It was after this period that lighter specimens were discovered. When pink, it is called kunzite, and when green, hiddenite. Spodumene requires the talent of an experienced lapidary because it is very difficult to cut. This explains the rarity of the one adorning GEMME Joaillerie's Viviana necklace: an emerald cut with cut corners, 61 carats, and a rare metallic luster, named in homage to the creations of Viviana Torun, a key figure in contemporary jewelry.
