Article: The Imperial Topaz

The Imperial Topaz

Do you know Imperial Topaz?
Imperial Topaz is distinguished by its golden color with shades ranging from orange to red mixed with solar yellow.
Imperial Topaz is found mainly in Brazil, the other deposits being exhausted.
Its name comes from the Sanskrit word Tupas which means Fire. This gives an idea of the flamboyance associated with this magnificent stone.
Symbol of sun and power in ancient Egypt, associated with the God Ra.
Supposed to give strength and courage to fight among the Romans.
It was the Russian tsars who gave it the adjective "imperial" as its distinguished color refers to light, gold, and richness.
Many qualities are associated with it: courage, enthusiasm, passion, and willpower; all qualities of positive forces and power.

And it is to honor the sun and its light that we at GEMME Joaillerie have chosen the unique yellow gold ring set with a faceted imperial topaz crafted in an antique style.
Available in the Unique Pieces tab.
